Premiered at the 2019 Fresh Inc, this aria is an excerpt from the unfinished opera, The Clef of the Universe. A setting of Walt Whitman’s poem of the same name, the poetry is rediscovered in the voice of the opera’s protagonist, an archeologist in a distant future. (c. 8’)
